Schladming: a resort with every amenity
Schladming is a small town in the Dachstein-Tauern region whose reputation extends far beyond its borders. Several Alpine World Ski Championships and Alpine Ski World Cups have been held there. Sitting at the foot of the Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm peaks, this ski resort promises a sumptuous setting for your holiday.
You’ll enjoy a friendly and relaxed atmosphere on your holiday in Schladming. In the evening, the streets are certainly lively and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs to keep everyone entertained.
On days when you don't want to explore the slopes with your ski rental, Schladming offers lots of other options. Fatbike, horse-drawn carriage rides, tobogganing, snowshoeing, ice skating and ski touring are all available.

Once you have picked up your ski rental, you can set off and explore 123 km of pistes, served by 44 ski lifts. Experienced skiers can tackle 68 km of red runs and 9 km of black runs. Beginners can earn their stripes on 46 km of dedicated slopes. There are several play zones where kids can have fun as they learn to ski.
The real star of the resort is the Dachstein glacier from where you can admire the amazing scenery of the Austrian Alps, and tackle the resort’s longest run – the 18 km long Edelgrieß which has a vertical drop of 1,500 metres. Also in store are a number of snowparks, dedicated freeride areas and around 30 km of groomed trails for cross-country skiing. Schladming also offers the hardiest of skiers the opportunity to ski the vast Amadé ski area’s 760 km.
