There are many sides to the resort of Courchevel. It is divided into five levels and each of the villages features something different.
Thanks to its five levels and its diverse offering, Courchevel is able to meet the needs both of families and groups. Whether or not you are a skier, you will definitely be donning your boots in Courchevel. Everyone can enjoy their time in the resort, whether in Saint-Bon – the cradle of Courchevel at an elevation of 1,100 m, Le Praz – a village with wonderful Alpine architecture, Courchevel 1550 which is definitely young at heart, Courchevel 1650 which is perfect for families, or Courchevel 1850 – the jewel in the crown for which the resort is famed and where Michelin stars abound!
Activity-wise, Courchevel offers lots to try, especially if you are not here to ski. New and varied experiences await adrenaline junkies: take a flight from the airfield, drive a piste basher, or try tobogganing or hang-gliding. Nature lovers will want to take a hot air balloon ride over the valley, go dog sledding or cross-country skiing along the valley’s many marked trails.
For evening entertainment and après-ski, you will be delighted with the multitude of bars and restaurants, which between them hold 7 Michelin stars. Each of the levels in Courchevel has its own ambiance, so we advise you to try them out to find your favourite!
In Courchevel, there is not just one, but two ski areas. The first is its own area: in Courchevel, there are 150 km of runs. Every Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm, you can take part in night skiing descents.
The second ski area that can be accessed from Courchevel is the largest in the world with 600 km of pistes for all ability levels: the Three Valleys. There you will find 111 red runs and 30 black runs – the perfect playground for experienced skiers.
