Val Thorens is rated as one of the best winter sports resorts in France and indeed in Europe. It has many advantages. As the continent's highest ski resort at an altitude of 2,300 m, it is snow sure all year round. Val Tho is largely car-free, which lends the resort a warm, friendly and relaxing feel. Slopes

Val Thorens enjoys a fortunate location at the entrance to a spectacular ski area: the 3 Vallées. Viewed as the world's largest ski area, it boasts nearly 600 km of slopes. Val Thorens alone makes up almost one quarter of the 3 Vallées. All skiers can progress at their level, both young and old, from beginner to advanced, athletic to leisurely.

In addition to the dizzying number of pistes, there are a number of snowparks to practice freestyling, or you could try your hand at carving. Cross-country skiers are also catered to, with gorgeous trails taking you through amazing scenery.
