Ski area

The ski area in Courmayeur comprises some 100 km of runs, with something to suit all ability levels. On one side of its mountain ridge location is Plan Chécrouit, a less busy area with wide pistes and few trees, whilst the Entrèves slope on the other side features pistes through the heart of the forest, which as a result are less sunny and visited by fewer tourists.

An ascent to the highest point in this ski area requires you to take two different cable cars, both built in the 1960s, and which do not necessarily serve the slopes. Fans of freeriding and freestyle should ride the cable car to Cresta d’Arp from where they must tackle an off-piste route before returning to the resort.
