In the heart of the Italian Alps, between Trentino and Lombardy, the mountain pass in Passo Tonale rises to an altitude 1,880 m. At the foot of the Presena Glacier, the village offers a superb setting in which to welcome visitors both in winter and in summer.

Great resort for hiking

Passo Tonale is one of the resorts in this part of the Alps that stay open over the longest period. You can take advantage of an array of activities in summer and winter, all at excellent value for money. There are also many hotels and accommodation options.

A good choice to spend a family holiday is the Rifugio Capanna Presena, located right on the glacier. Enjoy an unforgettable experience in this accommodation that rises to an elevation above 2,700 m.

When it comes to dining, several restaurants are available, including several pizzerias. A great chance to sample some Italian gastronomy as you warm up after a long day on the slopes.

Ski area

The entire Passo Tonale ski area including four villages is accessible with just one ski pass. This terrain offers over 100 km of snow-sure pistes thanks to the snowmaking facilities installed throughout the ski area.

Beginners can try the blue runs: gently sloping wide areas located close to the hotels. For the more adventurous and experienced skiers in search of an adrenalin rush, there are two Paradiso black runs with a vertical drop of 700 m. Are you up for the challenge?
