Pas de la Casa in Catalonia's mountains is the sole crossing point between Andorra and France, which gives it a special status and significant commercial activity. Incidentally, French is more commonly spoken here than Catalan. The village sits at an elevation of around 2,000 m and has about 3,000 inhabitants all year round.
