The Le Grand Bornand resort

A resort suited to everyone

Whether you're with friends or family, the Grand Bornand will have all you need. The resort is split into two sections: at the lower end you'll find the village, at 1,000 m altitude, with its historic centre, main square and clock tower. Higher up there's the Grand Bornand Chinaillon, where the pistes start, at 1,300 m altitude.

The resort carries the French "Famille plus montagne" label, meaning it's ideal for families. You'll find plenty of activities for all ages: a toboggan run, an escape game, ski-jöering and even electric mountain biking geared to snowy conditions.

And if you fancy a break from the slopes, you can always explore the resort's surrounding area. Le Grand Bornand is famous for the production of "reblochon", so why not head out with your friends and visit a farm that produces this delicious cheese? Learn more about the Savoie region and end your visit with a cheese tasting session.

Keep tickling those taste buds by sampling the local specialities served in the resort's various restaurants.

During summer, the resort is known as a Tour de France stage. Its long mountain roads are perfect for cyclists who love uphill challenges and mountain-bikers will adore its forest decents.

The ski area

Le Grand Bornand has 44 marked runs (12 green, 15 blue, 14 red and 3 black). The resort is part of the Aravis area, which links the La Clusaz, Manigod, Saint Jean de Sixt and Le Grand Bornand resorts to create a total of 211 km of runs. You also have the choice of two types of ski pass. Snowboarders can show off their skills in the SnowparkGB, which is in the Maroly sector.

It's easy with Netski! Enjoy amazing descents that have breathtaking panoramic views across the valley. Whether with friends or family, equip yourself with Netski and have a blast!
