I was on a week package tour that I bought last minute and so felt like I had gotten a reasonable price. On the good, location is amazing and truly ski in/ski out. Spa is more than good enough with jacuzzis, sauna, and steam room. On the neutral, there were some nights where I was pretty impressed with the food (Raclette night) and others where I wasn’t (vegetarian night) but overall felt like decent value especially if you were going to mix in a few meals out anyway which I was. The two guys behind the egg station at breakfast are the friendliest in all of France and deserves a bonus. On the bad, cleaning staff need to up their game for the room. Old and tired is fine and expected but the waft of mildew from the shower on our very first day was horrible and needed a day to air out. Feels like something that could’ve been done in advance as it got better when the days went on. Evening entertainment is probably a riot if you’re French and quirky/interesting if you’re not. No complaints about the effort of front office staff.

For those on a ski holiday, the MMV / Les Arolles hotel is perfectly located on the Val Thorens slopes to be a true ski in/ski out hotel. The boot room on the lower ground floor is ideal to store your ski parafanali in a secure locker. Beware the space gets very crowded as the available floorspace is limited! We stayed on a half board basis & were very impressed with the buffet choices on offer each day. Every possible option was available on the breakfast buffet from fresh bread, pastries, fruit, Yoghurt to a full English. A carafe of wine was included with our evening meal served between 7 - 9pm in a large, pleasantly appointed dining room. We utilised the terrace area with views over the lower area of Val Thorens & the piste including the Cairn gondola which is literally attached to the hotel. The bedroom floor space is definitely on the Snug side! Although a clean & tidy space we did have to learn the two step to co-exist for the week. Twin beds pushed together practically take up the entire room with a small margin remaining to walk around the bed. A compact shower room & separate toilet complete the en-suite facility. The wall mounted TV showed no sign of broadcasting anything but French language programmes. All in all we enjoyed the ambience & service of this hotel & due to its location we would consider staying there again.

Fantastic hospitality, spacious clean rooms (interconnecting if you have children) Mainly French guests / linguistics est parlé en Français but MMV team go out of their way to make all nationalities feel welcome. Reception staff & bar staff always at hand to help. Great variety of food at breakfast, lunch & dinner. Could do to revamp the bain marie / warming lights as food could sometime be on the cooler side. True ski in ski out…. Straight out of the boot room on to the piste that access’ all the main resort lifts and ski school meeting points (ESF & Prosneige approx a 200m ski from the hotel) The Cairn bubble is also approx 10m from the hotel / boot room. If you’re there for a week, definitely ask about the all inclusive drinks package… well worth the price. Amazing Spa… just make sure you book (can requests up to 2 days at a time / in advance) Secure boot room with dedicated lockers for each room. Just a shame the boot warmer system blows cold. Bottom line… would I stay here again…. Without doubt.

Friendly and well organised hotel in excellent location for town and skiing - indeed a ski-lift all but arrives within the building! The rooms are not large, but sufficient and practical, and there is ample room in a lounge and bar area. While our family doesn't need it, there is an excellent variety of activities provided for children. Adults aren't neglected either, for example an impromptu showing of a blockbuster film during poorer weather. The food us based around a variety of "all you can eat" buffets with a wide and changing variety of options, and juice, wine, coffee "on tap". Possible improvements.. there is a good effort on communications but some notifications were only in French (fair enough, and my French isn't bad) and some changes to timings weren't clear. Overall, though, a hotel that provides very well for the sector it serves, andxespecially for families.

Hotel has a very good location, ski-in and ski-out is totally ok. Animation team is perfact, we all had a wonderful time with them, especially for kids. Many interesting activities to participate everyday, mini disco is the best one. Food is delicious too. A great experience of holidays "without kids" (who have been well taken care by the animation team all day). Thanks!
