Well-established resort with a long history

Benasque has been nicknamed the “Spanish Chamonix” due to the multitude of hiking trails here, in particular the route up to the summit of Mount Aneto, the highest peak in the Pyrenees. It has a typical high-altitude climate featuring ice-cold winters and abundant snowfalls.

There is no denying the well-preserved charm of this compact town with its narrow streets and typical medieval architecture. Whether you visit in summer or in winter, a multitude of sporting activities await in this popular tourist spot. Ski area

Benasque's close proximity to Cerler also offers easy access to the Aramón Cerler ski area, which features a vertical drop of more than 1,100 m, 35 km of slopes and 35 marked runs. Facility-wise, there are 16 ski lifts, including one gondola and 6 chairlifts.

With so many red and blue runs, this terrain is ideally suited to beginners looking to improve their skiing. In addition, there are a few black runs to suit expert skiers.

Lastly, some amazing off-piste territory awaits freestylers at the foot of Mount Aneto.
