Connected to Les Deux Alpes by the Venosc cable car, the tiny village is typical of the Alps. Its small stone houses and cobbled streets simply ooze charm. Everything seems untouched by time and far removed from the hustle and bustle of the large resort, yet you are only an 8-minute gondola ride away. When you come back down off the slopes, Venosc offers the perfect après-ski setting with restaurants and bars. If you want to party, catch the shuttle bus to arrive in Les Deux Alpes in no time at all.
Non-skiing activities in Les Deux Alpes – Venosc include: snowshoeing, dog sledding and ice-skating. Don't leave without visiting the ice cave, located at 3,200 m altitude. This magical place is packed with ice sculptures and statues.
Les Deux Alpes resort offers a nice environment where you can shop in the small local artisan shops and enjoy fun indoor activities: bowling alley, laser game, swimming pool, cinema, etc.
And when your legs have had enough, there are plenty of fitness centres offering massages, steam rooms, saunas, facials, spas, cold baths, jacuzzis, etc.
The resort's ski area extends from 1,300 m to 3,600 m, with 220 km of marked pistes in total. The ski area boasts 19 green runs and 42 blue runs for beginners, as well as 18 red runs and 10 black runs for experienced skiers.
Don't miss the Vallons de la Selle – 7 km of downhill between Dôme de la Lauze and the Restaurant de la Cordée in St Christophe village, from where you can catch the bus back to Venosc.
